Aria魔法散热风扇 · Fan speed and temperatures, right in your Mac menu bar
Does your MacBook get hot under heavy load, with fans that either stay idle or jump straight to full blast? Aria Magic Fan is a menu bar app for fan speeds and temperatures: see the left and right fan speeds and CPU, SSD and battery temperatures, and switch between Auto, Custom and Full Speed in one click. Pro adds Stepped Smart Cooling: fan speed rises step by step with CPU core temperature, low and quiet when idle, more power only when it's hot.
Made for Macs with two fans (left and right). System requirements and tested models will be posted here before release.

What it does
Speeds and temps at a glance
Click the menu bar to see left and right fan speeds plus CPU peak, CPU average, SSD and battery temperatures.
Auto / Custom / Full Speed
Three modes, one click each. In Custom, drag a slider to set a fixed speed for each fan.
Stepped Smart Cooling (Pro)
Low speed when idle. Above your first temperature the fans step up; above the second they step up again. Temperatures and speeds are yours to set.
No flutter on the way down
Fans step down only once the CPU cools 3°C below the threshold, so speed doesn't flip back and forth.
Sustained heat (Pro, optional)
If the temperature stays above your highest setting for the minutes you choose, fans go to maximum, then step back down as it cools.
92°C overheat protection
When the hottest CPU core reaches 92°C, fans go to maximum whatever you chose, and ease off only below 88°C. In every version.
The menu bar panel: speeds, temperatures and the three modes, without opening a window.
Questions
What is Aria Magic Fan?
A macOS menu bar app for fan speeds and temperatures. You see the left and right fan speeds and CPU, SSD and battery temperatures, and switch between Auto, Custom and Full Speed in one click.
Can I download it now?
Not yet. It's coming soon, and there is no download or purchase link today. How to get it, and the price, will be posted here before release.
What does the free version include, and what does Pro add?
Free: speeds and temperatures, Auto / Custom / Full Speed, a fixed speed for each fan in Custom, and 92°C overheat protection; the panel shows one recommendation line. Pro adds Stepped Smart Cooling (two temperature steps you set) and sustained heat, and removes the recommendation line.
Does it need my administrator password?
Setting fan speed needs a one-time administrator approval to install a small helper. Reading speeds and temperatures doesn't need it.
What happens when the Mac gets very hot?
When the hottest CPU core reaches 92°C, the fans go to maximum whatever mode you chose, and ease off only below 88°C. This protection is in every version.
Can Full Speed switch back by itself?
Yes, if you turn it on in Settings: after Full Speed has run for the number of minutes you choose, it returns to Custom.
How much cooler will my Mac run?
It depends on your Mac and what you're running, and we're not promising a number. The fan speeds and temperatures the app shows are read from your Mac.
Three things up front:setting fan speed needs a one-time administrator approval to install a small helper; how much cooler your Mac runs depends on the Mac and the workload, and we don't promise a number; how to get the app, the price and the system requirements will be posted here before release.
